House

4th September 2004

After a brief spell in Hollywood, Jesse returns to the small screen this autumn in the new US medical drama House.

The show is set in a LA hospital and from the producer's publicity it sounds like a slicker, sexier, 21st Century version of Diagnosis: Murder.

"From Executive Producer Paul Attansio, the creator of "Homicide: Life on the Street", along with Katie Jacobs and David Shore, comes a new take on mystery, where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is a cantankerous doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients. Dr. Greg House (Hugh Laurie, "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows") is irreverent, controversial, devoid of bedside manner and wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it, but he is brilliant diagnostician and only the most dire cases come his way. House and his hand-picked team of experts will do whatever it takes – legal or not – to make the diagnoses that will solve these medical mysteries and save lives".

Jesse's character is called Dr. Robert Chase. Jesse's father, both his brothers and his sister are all doctors so he should be familiar with the medical world. All things going well this will be the beginning of a big career in US television. The show will premiere on Fox and Channel Canada in November. Hopefully broadcasters in other parts of the world, especially the UK and Australia, will also buy the rights so Jesse's fans in those countries can see him...
